RSS Feeds
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds are XML files designed for
distributing regularly updated content across the Internet. NY-Alert supplies
all Alerts and Press Releases as RSS feeds. Once one of these items is published on this web site, it becomes available for RSS Reader
tools to capture that item and notify you that there is new NY-Alert content for you to read. This allows
you to be informed of new content being published without constantly monitoring the website.
In order to take advantage of RSS Feeds, you must use a third party tool called an RSS Reader.
Examples of reader programs include: Bloglines, and NewsGator,
as well as the latest versions of Internet Explorer and FireFox. The basic use of these
programs is relatively easy and many of these products tie directly into Microsoft Outlook or other email
tools to allow you to quickly receive new RSS message in the same place where you receive new email.
In order to subscribe to one of our regularly updated RSS feeds, you need to add its URL from the list below to your RSS Reader.
