A. Notifiers choose the appropriate contact method (Ex. Email, Text Messaging) to subscribers of NY-Alert. An Example can be DOT TransAlert notifications. These notifications are sent by the notifier utilizing Text Messaging and Email. Subscribers by default will receive this message via Email and Text Messaging unless they have selected their preferred gateway to either Email or Text Messaging.
